Mr. Donald leads or supports several client efforts to obtain critical government funding for worthy public-private partnerships including those in the defense, law enforcement and health care arenas.
Previous to joining RR&G, Mr. Donald served as a senior advisor to Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL) from 2007 through 2009. Mr. Donald was responsible for all appropriations related matters for defense, foreign operations, military construction and veterans affairs for Senator Shelby. Mr. Donald researched and conducted analysis of legislative policy in these areas and formulated national and Alabama-based legislative strategies.
Prior to working in Senator Shelby’s office, Mr. Donald served three years with Congressman Jo Bonner (AL-01) as his Legislative Assistant handling defense, healthcare, trade, and banking issues. Additionally, he handled all matters related to the Congressman’s position on the House Agriculture Committee.
Mr. Donald served as a Legislative Correspondent and Legislative Aide for Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) between 2001 to 2004; working on defense, homeland security, foreign affairs and NASA issues. He assisted Armed Services Committee staff in hearing, markup and conference preparation, in addition to facilitating related appropriations requests.
Mr. Donald graduated Birmingham-Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2001.
